Kate Silverton
Kate is perhaps best known as one half of the nations
most watched breakfast programme, BBC Breakfast - presenting three
and a half hours of live television Monday to Thursday alongside
Dermot Murngahan. A hugely popular presenter she has thousands of
live broadcasting hours to her credit as a regular presenter on BBC
News 24.This year Kate has reported for Panorama and presented the
7th July Bombing Memorial programme for BBC1 and a world audience.Kate
has been a regular face on Five’s The Wright Stuff debating
topical issues alongside Sir Richard Branson and Ann Widdecombe,
and co-hosted BBC Radio Five Live’s Breakfast Show in 2005
amongst many other credits. Kate originally trained as a Corporate
Financier with a London Investment Bank.
She has a BSc in Psychology
from the University of Durham and spent a year reading Arabic and
Middle Eastern History and Politics.
Doug Richards
Having appeared in the second series of Dragons’ Den,
Doug is the founder and Chairman of Library House, Founder and Vice-Chairman
of the Cambridge Angels,
Co-Founder and Chairman of Hotxt and Chairman
of the Conservative Party Small Business Task Force. Doug is a successful
entrepreneur with 20 years’ experience in the development and
leadership of technology and software ventures, both in the US and
in the UK.
Ardal O’Hanlon
Multi-award winning comedian and actor, Ardal
O’Hanlon, is
one of the most acclaimed artists to break through the comedy industry
in recent years. His live comedy act is a spellbinding fusion of
off beat stories and confident polished material, with life enhancing
observations and unexpected twists. His originality and talent ensure
that there is no other performer like him. A previous winner of no
less than three ‘Best Comedian’ awards, in addition to
his stand-up comedy, Ardal has an extensive list of both acting and
comedy television credits to his name. It was, however, his consummate
starring role in ‘Father Ted’, which initially propelled
Ardal in to public attention.
